Known for its bold geometric pattern and enduring visual impact, the textile has continued to resonate with designers for nearly a decade. This latest recognition celebrates not only the design’s longevity but also its lasting influence across commercial, hospitality, and residential interiors.
Since its debut, Solstice has earned numerous accolades, including an IIDA/HD Product Design Award, a HiP Award from Interior Design magazine, and a #MetropolisLikes Award. Found in projects across a wide range of environments, the pattern has become one of Brentano’s most enduring and celebrated designs, capturing a moment when bold geometric patterns helped define the design landscape while continuing to feel relevant today.
As striking as the celestial phenomenon that inspired its name, Solstice features a large-scale repeat that evokes the rising and setting sun. A vibrant tessellation of triangles moves across the fabric’s surface like shooting stars, creating a sense of energy, rhythm, and movement. This 54-inch upholstery textile is designed for both indoor and outdoor applications, combining artistic expression with exceptional performance.
Solstice offers optional Non-PFAS stain treatment and bleach cleanability, making it suitable for a broad range of demanding environments. Constructed with a solution-dyed acrylic face and polyester warp, the textile delivers outstanding lightfastness and durability, exceeding 75,000 Double Rubs (Wyzenbeek, Cotton Duck). Demonstrating Brentano’s commitment to responsible design, Solstice has achieved a FACTS Silver sustainability certification and is Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certified.
